Feeling wired? Bloated? Knackered? Have an Epsom salt/magnesium bath ASAP!

When you just feel like your energy is not there and need a quick fix to sort out your day.

When you’ve been working hard, either physically or mentally and want to relax, while also extending your life bar (like when you’re playing Street Fighters).

When you’re detoxing or trying to recover from a pesky cold.

When you want a quick injection of magnesium but can’t take it orally for some reason, or maybe you just want to supplement what you already take.

Add 250g (a whole cup full) of magnesium salts or Epsom salts to a warm bath.

How do magnesium bath salts work, and why do they help?

Well, magnesium is a very important mineral, because it is needed in virtually every one of physiological processes. It works as a vasodilator and helps relax you.

It is an important anti-inflammatory and antioxidant which helps search for and kill free radicals (the unstable molecules which occur naturally in the body which cause damage to your DNA).

Magnesium is also a very important nutrient when it comes to energy production and detoxification. It is used to create energy in the cells, and it also used in the process of turning toxins in your body into a package which your body can get rid of effectively.

In fact, when it comes to getting harmful things out of your body, magnesium is one of the best to do it. If you’re experiencing constipation or toxic build up, magnesium is a very good gentle detoxifier.

Can’t get to sleep? Magnesium helps you snooze, and can help you overcome interrupted sleep.

And let’s not forget about the softening effects magnesium has on our skin and hair. Good quality soaps and body products will contain magnesium in order to avoid that ‘dried out’ effect which cheaper products will often give you.

So, when you want a quick yet relaxing fix way to recharge, de-bloat and relax all at the same time, run yourself an Epsom salt bath.
Sit in it for at least 20 mins.

Sweat it out, and then shower in slightly cooler (or cold) water immediately. You do this to close the pores you just opened in the bath. Toxins have come out in the Epsom bath, not showering straight after, let’s them back in. Using cooler water helps with that too.

And don’t add any shower gel or soap, but adding in essential oils like lavender, peppermint, sage etc and/or using natural oils coconut oil/castor oil/almond oil etc is fine! In fact, will help smoothen out your skin.

If you’re a fan of magnesium baths, have you got a favourite blend of oils you like to use? What are your game changer tips which we can all benefit from? Drop me a comment, I’d love to know!

Enjoy!
