It’s very low maintenance to cook (my favourite), very easy to digest,and most importantly, delicious.

Okra is generally a useful functional food for feeding your gut bacteria. This type of food is known as a prebiotic.
⠀
You won’t be getting lots of good bacteria colonisation and population growth if you’re not having enough prebiotic (food for your bacteria).
⠀
It’s also a well known mucilaginous food, which helps create a gel like substance in your digestive tract, helping you get rid of waste and poop better.

A word of caution though: if your gut health is not feeling stable and you are experiencing a lot of irregular digestion & bowel movements, and/or lots of gas, skip this one out.

Why?
You may have too many bad bacteria strains in your gut, and so the last thing you want to do is feed THEM.
